The Mystery of the Faith.

Psalm 55 vs 4: I am terrified and the terrors of death crush me vs 5: I am gripped by fear and trembling, I am overcome with horror .vs 6: I wish I had wings like a dove I would fly away and find rest.

King David wrote this psalm when he was griped by fear, I agree it would be nice to fly away and find rest and peace from a world in turmoil. The whole world is gripped by fear and we are all having to abide by the rules set out by the government. It is sad to see people covering their faces with masks and standing meters away from one another in order to be be safe from the dreaded virus.

Being in fear is a tragic and lonely place to be. Many years ago I became so fearful; every moment of my day was filled with inexplicable fear. I needed help. I put behind me all pride doubt and denial and went forward for the support I needed. There is so much help out there but it does take courage, wisdom and faith to take that first step into a journey to peace of mind.

I have come to a place in my life where I know I don’t have all the answers and I have to believe that God has. This is the one of the big mysteries of the faith, God has a mighty plan He is not surprised by this pandemic, He will weave it into His tapestry.

Gods word for you.

Psalm 46: vs 1 God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble.

vs 2 – therefore we will not fear…..

A prayer for you

Dear Father God we thank and praise you that we can come to you in our hour of need. We cannot rely on our own strength or self will but we can trust that you know the beginning from the end. You stand at the door and knock Rev: 3:20 we can make that choice to let you in to our lives and find rest and peace in Jesus precious name, Amen
