The Plan.

It is said we must have a plan we may not stick to it but a plan you must have.

After a rather severe illness and feeling very poorly I was very glad that my writers mind started to get back into gear, could it be a month and more that I was out of action!!

My plan is to write a blog a week and hope to get as many followers as I can. The beauty of a blog, it is short and concise and doesn’t take up too much time for the reader and hopefully the writer can get the message across.

I am a Christian and the first thing I have to do is to take this to the Lord in prayer and allow the Lord to guide my thoughts and my pen.

Deuteronomy Ch 8 VS 3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Many years ago when we named Manna Ministries, a ministry that was started in our church back in South Africa in the 90s, for alcoholics and their families ,it was important to both David and myself to have a name that was linked to “One day at a time” as this had become so important to us.

The story of the Israelites in the wilderness, who ate manna that could only be eaten on the day that it appeared,   Exodus 16:19-21. for the next day it was rotten.

We came to learn that yesterday had gone and was no point in fretting about it and tomorrow hadn’t yet arrived so needless to worry about it. We also learned that we must have a plan, we may not complete the plan, but having a plan was very important, a plan we must have.

In the early part of 2020 when we have the virus raging around us and none of us is sure when self isolating from coronavirus is going to end and what we are going to do when it does end. God willing we can have a short term plan one day at a time.

May be God be with you and keep you safe. Norma Denner May 2020.
