A new thing

Just for today I will read this passage in the bible for meditation and reflection:

Isaiah  43:  14 -21

Vs 19. See I am doing a new thing now it springs up, do you not perceive it, and I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

We were the first to arrive at the hall. Not too gradually, the small hall became full of expectant people. We were in for a rare treat , to see wonderful pictures of one of Gods fairest cities. We were to see the city of Cape Town and its rich flora and fauna, with so much beauty and colour growing in sand and in the searing heat.

It was only the following day that I realised how much I had run away from my past and immersed myself in my new life as a widow. All my feeling was laid bare as I had been confronted with a small portion of my life that was very dear to me, a past shared with my true love David. Thank you Lord that you work in such unexpected ways and now I can venture into your promises.

Heavenly Father, all honour and glory be to your holy name. I am thankful that you guide me at such a vulnerable time of my life. You say in your word that we are not to remember the former things and not to consider the things of old. ( vs 18)  You are faithful you will not let me down, my rock and my fortress, I will always praise you for the richness of my old life and leave it safely in your hand, Amen
