The Saddest Story

John Chapter 19 vs 2 The Soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head. They clothed Him in a purple robe.

Could there have ever been anything as tragic as these verses leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus the Christ.

If you are a true believer and a follower of the Lord there is a pain and anguish at how Jesus was treated , and yet it was God’s  plan and Jesus knew that every part of the plan must be carried out. The Lord was on the greatest part of His mission to save people from their sins and reconcile them to God.

The great cry of “tetalesti” which means it is finished will ring through the ages to come, the saddest story turns into triumph and victory at the resurrection.

Gracious Father in heaven you are mighty to save, we all like sheep have gone astray, so far from your ways and precepts, we thank you that the Lord came and paid that great price for us, the ultimate price, a despicable death a shameful death, one of agony and disgrace but the Lord loved us so much and was willing to lay down His life for us. Oh what manner the Fathers love for us that He gave his one and only son to be a sacrifice for us. We come before your throne of grace in humble adoration in Jesus name Amen.
